Atomic’s Sweet Sponsorship

Searching for the countries best barista is no mean feat in our coffee obsessed’ flat-white-triple-shot-lots of –foam ’society- in fact one could say it’s rather difficult. In order to help the hunters of this prestigious title - the Huhtamaki New Zealand Barista Championship was established.

Once again, the 2012 event went off without a hitch and attracted the countries best- including our very own Atomic Rockstars. Held in the windy capital of Wellington, the best barista crowned after the 3 day coffee extravaganza is sent off to represent New Zealand in the World Barista Championship in Vienna – choice mate!

Recognising and encouraging that quality must be married with quality; Atomic provided none other than the Nuova Simonelli Aurelia II T3 machine– crowned the official machine of the World Barista Championship for a second term.

The Aurelia II T3 is the espresso machine for the most demanding professional baristas because it guarantees even more advanced performance in terms of accuracy, quality, extraction, flexibility and consistent results.

We are the stockists of the entire Nuova Simonelli range, including the Aurelia II T3 Machine.

Help make Xmas a little bit brighter for those in need

Posted 165 days ago by Alessandra in Atomic News

It's not very often that we get all warm and fuzzy around here but Christmas has a way of bringing out the softer side in everyone.

This year as you are rushing around doing your Christmas shopping, throw a few extra items in your trolly to give to someone in need.  Atomic Kingsland will be collecting new toys and non-perishable food items for Auckland City Mission throughout December.  Drop your donation in the giant silver present box and we will shout you a free coffee, just for being a caring kiwi.

Brew Bar this week (08/11/11)...

Posted 192 days ago by Jarred in Origins

In our brew bar this week we have:

Ethiopian Yirgacheffe – One of the worlds most celebrated coffees with hints of Jasmine, stone fruit and a delicious gingery sweetness

Guatemala APODIP – Sweet and full bodied with cranberry and malt biscuit flavours

Colombian ANEI – Malty flavours with a big body and candy like finish.

If you’re a fan of black coffee and you want to try something different, we are still also offering a single origin Ethiopian Harrar through the espresso machine. It’s big, juicy and sweet and maybe a little more intense than your standard espresso.

Atomic is getting behind New Zealand film

Posted 226 days ago by Alessandra in Atomic News

Atomic has been rubbing shoulders with a few pretty important people in the world of New Zealand film and television lately. In case you hadn’t heard, we are kind of a big deal! Last year we kept the cast and crew caffeinated on the set of Ebony Society, and scored a reoccurring role on local drama, Shortland Street. When Tammy Davis recently began shooting his latest short film, Sonny My Older Brother, Atomic was thrilled to help out.

The film was shot on location in the beautiful town of Raetihi in the central plateau and focuses on the complex relationship between two brothers. We are always keen to get behind New Zealand film and with such a talented cast and crew we know this one is sure to be a hit.

"We had lots of sponsors on the film and it would not have been possible without Atomic coffee waking us up each morning and keeping us on the ball during our long days.

Thanks Atomic

Tammy Davis"
