We're very serious about coffee (without ever being very serious) and stand by a few key principles:
- Making sure that the journey from farmer to cup is fair and equitable to all concerned really matters - all the coffee we source is 100% Fair Trade
- It all starts with flavour - we carefully & expertly batch roast each of our origins to get the best out of them before creating our distinct range of blends
- Sharing skills and coffee knowledge is vitally important - our training team are world class baristas

New Zealand is not short of coffee brands or roasters but we believe that we're a step above most. Atomic is big enough to offer total reliability of supply, service and training but small enough that you'll always talk to people that know and love coffee. We like to work with hospitality businesses that value great flavour, coffee craftsmanship and know how to enjoy what they do!

Background
Atomic started life in 1992 as an iconic Ponsonby Road Cafe roasting on site with a little 3kg Swaldo. In 1996 the roasting business and the cafe were separated and Atomic Coffee Roasters has been based in Kingsland ever since.
We're also the exclusive New Zealand distributor for Nuova Simonelli machines - Dave who heads up the workshop is one of the world's most experienced Nuova Simonelli technicians.
